I have been a reds supporter since 1948, the one player that I will always remember the best is "Big" Dunc. He is the best and most complete footballer ever to grace Old Trafford, I feel honoured and privileged to have watched him play on many
occasions.
I have just seen your wonderful tribute site to the greatest footballer who ever played the beautiful game. I'm only 35 and never really got to appreciate his style and skills on the pitch . But being a fan for a long time and reading so much about 'big dunc' , he has become a hero of mine ,somebody who will never be replaced. I'm just so sad I never got to see him play.
As a football fan from Dudley this is just to say thankyou for dong this site. Dudley is rightly very proud of Duncan Edwards and he should never be forgotten. Having watched the TV programme 7 Days that shook Man Utd it was evident how highly he was regarded by everyone and how tragic that he was taken from this world far too soon.
DUNCAN EDWARDS
The boy captured in bronze
Whose golden heart knew no fear
And whose universal boots
Wove such tales
Such legends
Of the boy
Who lived life
Before life had begun.

"Duncan Edwards is the one person who, even today, I really felt inferior to. I've never know anybody so gifted and strong and powerful with the presence that he had" - Bobby Charlton, July 2001
